I am looking forward to sharing Chapter Four of Our Story here in my little corner of the world very soon! A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has stopped by, left comments, and shared my little blog with others! I can’t tell you what an encouragement that y’all have been! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
This has been a super busy week! Here is a small peek into our Instagram world over the last few days ~
It occurred to me this week that I might have a wee bit of an Aveeno dependency. After disappointing (dry) results from several other moisturizers on the market, I finally found a happy place in their positively radiant version! Let’s just say that my addiction flourished from there. If loving my Aveeno is wrong, I don’t wanna be right!
♫ It’s the most wonderful time of the year! ♫ Boot season is almost upon us – can I get a Hallelujah?! Bring on the pumpkin spice lattes, crunchy leaves underfoot, and college football!
I’ve got 99 problems but a good book ain’t one. I’ve been reading Decoded, by Jay-Z – and let me tell you, this book is fascinating!
All three of our boys enjoy playing Pokemon, but I am so lost. Our 5 year old offered to give me a crash course this week, but I think I’m just too old to play this game. It still makes NO sense, but it was a blast to let him teach ME for a change!
I made pesto with basil from our yard – which is a miracle of momentous proportions! All things of the plant persuasion insist on dying in my presence – but this year our basil gave me this heavenly pesto. It smells (and tastes) divine!
In other news, this was the second week of our homeschooling year for our two youngest boys. We have studied Queen Victoria, the Sepoy Mutiny, astronomy, helping verbs, phonics, The Wind in the Willows, sight words, Florence Nightingale…the list goes on and on! Watching the boys learn is an amazing thing – and I am so lucky to be a part of it! My little pupils painted and assembled a model of the solar system in our science time – they were very proud of their work, but another furry member of our family developed a sudden interest in astronomy. Bella says, “Those balls won’t throw themselves!”
I got to see the Audrey Hepburn/Gregory Peck classic “Roman Holiday” tonight at this historic theatre with a good friend! I had never seen an Audrey movie on the big screen before, so this was a HUGE treat for this Hepburn fangirl! The friend that went with me – the sweetest and coolest of friends – and she’s moving away soon. We have to get in our mommy play dates while we can!
I hope that y’all have a wonderful weekend!
